In addition, we will now guide you in recoverying <strong>permanently deleted Outlook emails<\/strong>. By &#8220;permanently deleted&#8221; I mean emails are no longer in the trash folder of your pst file, either because you deleted them with SHIFT+DEL or because you just emptied the trash folder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Note that the following procedure applies to local .pst files (no Exchange server), and <strong>it&#8217;s essential that the pst file has not been compressed since deletion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The procedure is pretty straightforwarding, all you need is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Outlook.pst<\/strong> (or any other .pst) file<\/li>\n<li>an <strong>Hex Editor<\/strong> that can perform incremental read of files (since .pst are very large files). Now it&#8217;s time to <strong>save the .pst file<\/strong> (save icon or File-&gt;Save) and move to the next step (ignore the warning about the change history while saving).<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2>Recovering deleted emails<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After editing your .pst file, using Windows Explorer or command prompt, go to the folder containing scanpst.exe file. If you can&#8217;t find it, you can search it with Windows Explorer or use the following commands from the command prompt:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush: plain; title: ; notranslate\" title=\"\">\r\n\r\nC:\r\n\r\ncd \\\r\n\r\ndir scanpst.exe \/s\r\n\r\n<\/pre>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Now, assuming you are in the right folder, launch scanpst.exe, and you will see something like this.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1702\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/outlook_recovery_06_en.png\" alt=\"outlook_recovery_06\" width=\"353\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nullalo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/outlook_recovery_06_en.png 353w, https:\/\/www.nullalo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/outlook_recovery_06_en-300x249.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 353px) 100vw, 353px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Browse your PST file, click on Start and sit down.
