Cannot register TeraCopy v2.3 as default handler

I upgraded to 2.3 and now I can’t get TeraCopy to register as my default copy handler. Are there any tips or methods for manually registering it?

Try changing TeraCopy.exe to run as an administrator (for all users if you have the option). Administrator privileges are required to save the change to the registry.

In Windows 7+ To remove the UAC prompt, change the teracopy.exe registry entry in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
from RUNASADMIN to ELEVATECREATEPROCESS

Repeat for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
